Certificate Overview

The Retail Management Certificate prepares individuals to manage a variety of retail sale operations or lines of merchandise. Students who complete the nine course Retail Management Certificate program will develop a clear sense of the scope of retail management.

The program serves both entry-level job candidates and incumbent employees. The curriculum includes foundational courses in both written and oral communication, business math, human relations, and microcomputer applications. Students also complete specific business and management courses in accounting, management, marketing, retailing, and human resource management.

The certificate courses are available both in-person and online.

Courses from the certificate may apply to the Business Management Associate of Technical Arts Degree and the Business Management Associate of Applied Science-T Degree.
