Certificate Overview

The Retail Management Certificate is designed to prepare students for career opportunities and upward mobility in the retail industry.  It is endorsed by the Western Association of Food Chains and Food Marketing Institute, and is relevant in any retail sector as its course content and learning outcomes mirror those advocated by the National Retail Federation.

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) offers an eight-course Retail Management Certificate that can be completed in just two semesters.  For those who are working full-time and dedicating part-time or less towards their education, this program can be completed at your own pace.  All courses are college-level and apply to more advanced educational programs such as a Certificate of Achievement in Business or a Business, Associate of Applied Science Degree.  All required courses are available both in-person and online.
